How does Better Telecom TURBO BOOST service work?
Better Telecom Turbo Boost service connects multiple DSL services together to create one super fast service for your business.

Key Features:
  • Double Internet Connection Speed: By combining two or more connections together you will see an increase in Internet speed.
  • Increased Office Productivity: Your office staff will benefit by receiving faster Internet access for their daily duties.
  • Redundancy/Backup Internet Options: Should one of your connections fail, traffic will automatically re-route to the remaining connection(s).
  • Unlimited Data: No excess data charges or restrictions.

  • What do I need to connect?
To connect to Better Telecom TURBO BOOST service you will need the following:
  • An existing/new DSL service from Better Telecom
  • A second DSL service from Better Telecom.
  • Better Telecom TURBO BOOST equipment.

  • Better Telecom will install additional Internet connections to your premises. If you have extra telephone lines at your premises we can add ADSL onto these telephone lines. If you do not have spare lines we can arrange for these to be installed for you.

Can Better Telecom convert an existing DSL Broadband service to Turbo Boost?
Yes we can take over your existing DSL service.

What if I am under contract with my current service provider?
This is ok. We can utilise your existing ISP’s Internet connection and add additional services onto your existing connection to create one TURBO BOOST connection with super fast speeds.

Will additional phone lines be required for the additional service?
Your existing telephone lines can be used to add on additional ADSL services. If you do not have additional spare lines then these must be installed. Existing telephone lines cannot currently host an existing DSL connection or be the prime number of a line hunt.

Can I connect Better Telecom TURBO BOOST to my home?
Yes you can connect Better Telecom TURBO BOOST service to your home premises as long as additional DSL lines can be connected.

What kind of speeds can I expect to achieve from the service?
The achievable speed depends on the speed of the combined DSL connections at your premises. The following table shows the maximum speeds achievable.
    Turbo Boost
    Speeds Achievable
    Maximum Download
    Speed Achievable

Based on testing existing customers this is what we achieved:

    Sample customer 1:

A sample customer who was located approximately 1km from the local exchange.

  • DSL connection 1: 15Mbps download /0.8Mbps Upload
  •
  • DSL connection 2: 15Mbps download /0.8Mbps Upload
  •
  • Better Telecom Turbo Boost combined speed achieved: 30Mbps download /1.6 Mbps Upload

  • Sample customer 2:

The actual speeds may be less due to a number of factors including network configuration, line quality & length, exchange type, customer premises interference, traffic, equipment and Internet content accessed.

Can I combine more than two connections?
Yes you can combine up to 4 connections for a much faster speed of up to 80Mbps!

Will a technician need to attend my premises?
No a technician will not need to attend your premises if we are using existing connected telephone lines. A Better Telecom support technician will assist you via telephone to connect all equipment.
